Why We Do It…to do good, have fun AND prosper.

At Gumball we have strong values that guide us. We believe it's possible to simultaneously do good, have fun, AND prosper.  When we put these values into action, our passion comes alive and as a result, people want to be a part of what we're doing. That's culture.

We also like keeping the promises we make. There are only a few promises so we don't overshoot or disappoint. Here they are:

Provide you the highest quality leadership development experiences that are steeped in science, customized, and are relevant.  In turn your leaders are equipped, unique problems are solved, and inventions are built.

Provide you the highest quality leadership development products that are designed to be on-demand and original.

Assure lasting and sustainable change in your leaders and teams.

Deliver and measure real business outcomes that result in 5x to 7x or more a return on your investment. Most of our engagements result in more than 7x return; we have case studies if you’re interested.

Citizenship

"Running a Business is Ultimately about Freedom."
- Verne Harnish, Author of Scaling Up

We agree with Verne that running a business is ultimately about freedom.....and with freedom comes immense responsibility.

We believe it's our responsibility as strategic advisers, coaches, and facilitators, to serve leaders so they may liberate themselves from the barriers that prevent them, and their organizations, from reaching their fullest potential.

Providing Coaching for a Better Global Society

Coaching has a central role to play for a society to thrive. As practitioners we too are leaders, needing to constantly liberate ourselves through learning and personal development. One way we assure this development is through our ongoing membership with the ICF (International Coaching Federation) and the ICF Foundation. The ICF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to professional coaching. As of December 2019, ICF has approximately 34,617 members in 139 countries.

ICF Foundation - Social Change Through Coaching

The ICF Foundation works to accelerate and amplify social change through coaching, working together with all kinds of social change organizations. It is centered around three pillars:

  1. Cultivating frameworks for pro bono coaching,

  2. Engaging in and curating research for the multiplying effect of social progress through coaching as well as the impact of Social Return on Investment (SRIO),

  3. Connecting, teaching about the beneftis of coaching and providing scholarships to diverse populations.

Since 2018, our CEO, Ann Dorgan, has been Treasurer on the Board of Trustees for the ICF Foundation. Watch here why she thinks that coaching will change the world.

Ending Slavery and Human Trafficking

We also believe it’s our corporate responsibility to be active citizens. We express our citizenship by donating 3% of our net profit to Polaris Project and BEST, organizations committed to freeing slaves from modern day slavery and human trafficking. Polaris Project, located in WA DC, influences global policy on trafficking laws, while BEST, is a local, Seattle, WA based organization.

Polaris Project - Changing Policies

Polaris is spearheading a reimagined approach to confronting, and ultimately, to ending sex and labor trafficking in North America. Their work is driven by data, shaped by the expertise of survivors, and focused on dismantling the underlying systems that make it possible to rob 25 million people around the world of the freedom to choose how they live and work.

For more than a decade, Polaris has operated the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline, connecting more than 50,000 victims and survivors to help and support. That experience underlies their deep expertise, and informs research and analysis, advocacy and outreach and innovative pilot projects and partnerships that serve as a laboratory and knowledge-base for the anti-trafficking movement as a whole.

BEST - Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking

Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST) is a Seattle-based nonprofit organization with the mission to align and equip leaders to use the power of business to prevent human trafficking. BEST has a unique role in raising awareness and educating employers and employees to identify victims of human trafficking and to prevent the exploitation of future victims.

BEST aids employers with the process of implementing anti-trafficking workplace polices, providing human trafficking awareness training for employees, and facilitating the process to help employers hire and support survivors of human trafficking.
